We always describe dioptase as looking the way emeralds ought to look, but rarely do. This African mineral is no longer available, as the mines have been shut down, but Richard had bought several specimens over the past years, and this is one of them. It's a perfect stone, very simply set to show it off to best advantage. 1 1/2" wide by 1 1/4" high.

Please treat the pieces as you would any fine jewelry or pearls, avoiding contact with wet perfume or hairspray. It is guaranteed to last for years.
