For literally ages, Elijah's cup has been a fixture on our Passover Seder tables. Now, Miriam's cup is gaining her own rightful place alongside his. Richard Bitterman's Miriam's cup is willowy, graceful, and very symbolic. Miriam's story is one in which the themes of water and of music play the strongest roles, so this cup presents both: a graceful cobalt blue stem flowing into a cobalt base, and a sinuous brass line of musical notes connecting all the parts. Richard Bitterman artwork is virtually maintenance free. It is coated with a long-lasting lacquer which eliminates the need to polish or even clean. For most items, a sweep with a dry cloth or soft brush will suffice. Candle wax may be removed with hot water, and thoroughly dried (a hair dryer works well.) Never, ever use chemicals or put Bitterman art object in a dishwasher.
